Hi all,

Just had a bit of a success in the kitchen, so thought I'd post it here.

The other day my brother-in-law cooked a meal involving fried onion and potato and a sauce he gets from his home town in Turkey. Well not having the sauce (yet, grin), I thought I'd improvize and came up with this.

lol And it seems the heading tags aren't allowed, my bad. Hope it doesn't detract from the recipe too much.

Cheers,
Simon

Worth a go minh, adn of course it's adaptable. Potatos are a pretty versatile ingredient, you can put quite a few different herbs and spices with it.

I thought I'd just comment on the bit about the versatility of potatoes, and say that a fellow classmate in my intro to public speaking class did her impromptu speech on potatoes. Let's just say it was ... well, I've never heard anyone use the word potato (or any form of it), so much in a two-minute speech in my entire life. lol It was odd.
And, this recpie sounds pretty good. I'll have to try it.

lmao! Hail, um hale? I'll never tell the diffference, anyway, the potato!

For those who don't know what that's about we had a cartoon over here, (American in origin I think), called Dinosaurs. Took place in prehistoric times, and focused on the day-to-day comings and goings for a family of dinosaurs. Well one episode featued a right royal piss take of religion in which they thought it would be a wonderful idea to, yep you guessed it, worship the potato. lmfao. Brilliant stuff.

Jo, it's a shame you do't have a copy of that speech somewhere it might be entertaining to read.

But yeah the recipe is wonderful, tempted to do it again today to be honest.

Cheers,
Simon
